Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting
Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients regain communication and swallowing function
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises

Qualifications

Active California Speech-Language Pathology license
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care facility
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in dysphagia assessment and treatment
Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
