Location: Garrison, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends (EOW) and every other major holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as charge nurse, overseeing resident care and directing staff
Administer medications accurately and safely to residents
Perform wound care and treatments as needed
Monitor residents with common diagnoses like heart disease, diabetes, and dementia
Collaborate with DON and on-call physicians to ensure quality care
Document resident progress and changes in condition using Matrix EMR

Qualifications

At least 1 year of Long Term Care (LTC) experience required
Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
Comfortable working with a 1:10 nurse-to-resident ratio on days and 1:19 on nights
Ability to work every other weekend and holiday

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in medication administration and wound care
Experience with Matrix EMR or similar long-term care systems
Strong leadership and delegation skills
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
