Location: Bakersfield, CA

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holidays with on-call rotation (30-minute response time)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality X-ray imaging of brain, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Operate GE and Toshiba equipment with precision and care
Collaborate with radiologists and lead techs to ensure accurate diagnostics
Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
Float to nearby facility (Mercy Southwest) as needed to support the team
Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes

Qualifications

Valid ARRT certification required
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-ray Tech
Proficiency with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
Ability to start IVs? No (but willingness to learn is a plus)
Teal scrubs provided - just bring your skills and enthusiasm!

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in X-ray imaging protocols and positioning
Familiarity with GE and Toshiba imaging equipment
Competence in Radnet and Merge Unity software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and patient care skills
