Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality MRI and X-ray imaging procedures on a variety of studies including brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Ensure patient safety and comfort during exams, positioning patients accurately and providing clear instructions
Operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment with precision and troubleshoot minor issues
Utilize Radnet and Merge Unity PACS for image management and documentation
Float to Mercy Southwest location (approx. 6.5 miles away) as needed to cover staffing shortages
Participate in rotating on-call schedule, maintaining a 30-minute response time for urgent cases
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to deliver timely and accurate diagnostic results
Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required; MRI certification preferred
Proficiency with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
Experience operating GE and Toshiba MRI and X-ray equipment
Ability to start IVs (preferred but not required)
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in MRI and X-ray imaging techniques and safety protocols
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to manage a high volume of scans (approx. 100 per day) while maintaining quality
Knowledge of anatomy and pathology related to common studies
Proficient in electronic medical records and PACS software
