Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-11-2026

End Date: 09-10-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM; rotating weekends and holiday on-call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying
Operate GE equipment and utilize Radnet and Merge Unity systems
Ensure patient safety and high-quality diagnostic images
Maintain accurate patient records and comply with regulatory standards
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to support patient care
Float to Mercy Downtown location as needed (approximately 6.5 miles away)

Qualifications

Current California Nuclear Medicine Technology License (CA NMTL)
BLS certification from American Heart Association
At least 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
Ability to work rotating call, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in nuclear medicine imaging (cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, gastric emptying)
Experience with GE equipment
Competency in Radnet and Merge Unity PACS/EMR
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
