Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, rotating weekends (Friday-Sunday)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to pregnant women, newborns, and gynecological surgical patients in a rural LDRP setting
Triage patients and manage labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
Function as the baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Administer and titrate Pitocin as needed
Collaborate with on-call OB and anesthesia teams for deliveries
Float to med-surg as needed (rare) to support hospital operations

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of L&D experience with LDRP training
Ability to triage and serve as baby catcher/transition nurse
Current BLS, ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Must live outside a 60-mile radius from Fort Morgan

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in labor & delivery, including LDRP care
Proficient in triage and newborn transition
Skilled in EFM monitoring (OBIX system)
Comfortable managing Pitocin drips
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
