Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population across multiple Med/Surg-Telemetry units within Zone 3
• Float between four facilities (OrthoColorado, Longmont United, St. Anthony, St. Anthony North) as needed
• Monitor telemetry, titrate heparin drips, and manage patients with cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and other conditions
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient ratios (1:5-6 based on acuity)
• Adapt quickly to varying unit environments and patient acuity levels, including occasional low-acuity holds in ICU or PCU/Stepdown
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg-Telemetry experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from all assigned facilities (no home base facility)
• Neuro experience preferred
• Willingness to float within a 60-mile zone (Zone 3) and accept just-in-time scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in MS-Tele nursing, including telemetry monitoring and heparin titration
• Experience with a variety of diagnoses: cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, renal, bariatrics, trauma, and more
• Strong adaptability and flexibility for floating across different units and facilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
