Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, plus on-call one evening per week and 2 weekend days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert circulating support for a wide range of surgical procedures including cardiovascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics, general, and robotic surgeries.
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
Participate in on-call coverage for evening and weekend emergency surgeries with a 30-minute response time.
Mentor and precept new staff as needed to uphold high standards of care.
Utilize advanced robotics equipment including the Mako and DaVinci systems.

Qualifications

Minimum 4-5 years of hospital operating room nursing experience.
Proven experience circulating cardiovascular surgeries, including CABGs.
Experience with robotic surgery (DaVinci and Mako) is required.
Ability to handle a diverse caseload across multiple surgical specialties.
Current RN license in Texas or a compact state.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety.
Proficient in operating room equipment and robotic systems.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage on-call duties effectively.
