Location: Gilbert, Arizona

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; self-scheduling; weekend requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week period; holidays rotate with perm staff

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the ED holding unit and Med/Surg/Tele overflow
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret strips, titrate cardiac drips per physician orders
Collaborate with ED charge nurse and PCTs to manage patient flow
Assist with ED patient needs including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration as needed
Float to Med/Surg/Tele units and other campuses as required
Participate in orientation and pass dysrhythmia exam and SIM lab

Qualifications

Must have a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years of experience
Ability to decrease cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters
Willingness to pass a dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts max) through UNA before start
Ability to pass a PASS/FAIL SIM lab on day one of orientation
No prior travel experience required, but tele skills are essential

Education

Current and valid RN license in Arizona or compact state

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Skilled in cardiac drip titration (Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone)
Knowledge of ED holds and Med/Surg/Tele patient care
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
