Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, includes weekends and holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to labor and delivery patients, including triage, labor support, delivery, and postpartum care
Function as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Monitor fetal heart rate and contractions using OBIX system
Administer and titrate Pitocin as needed
Collaborate with on-call OB and anesthesia teams for emergency deliveries
Assist in the OR for C-sections if required (though not primary duty)
Provide help to Med/Surg unit when needed (rare)

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado or compact state required
At least 1 year of L&D experience with LDRP training
Current ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications
Ability to triage and independently manage low-risk deliveries
Comfortable working in a rural hospital setting with limited resources

Knowledge & Skills

L&D and LDRP procedures
Fetal monitoring and interpretation (EFM)
Pitocin titration and management
Newborn resuscitation and transition care
Triage assessment skills
