Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekend rotation (6-9 weekends per 6-week schedule)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to a diverse PCU/IMC patient population including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, and more
• Titrate and manage intravenous drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, and heparin
• Float across multiple facilities within Zone 1 covering the Colorado Springs area
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient acuities
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMC experience required
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and ativan management
• Neuro experience and Epic EMR experience preferred
• Ability to float within a 60-mile zone and adjust to different facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in managing cardiac drips including dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amio, insulin, and heparin
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for stepdown patients
• Familiarity with Epic EMR is a plus
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different units and facilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
