Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med/surg patients in a 28-bed unit
Monitor and manage common drips like heparin, cardizem, and chemotherapy
Titrate drips as needed (insulin, cardizem) and respond to changing patient conditions
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support team coverage
Maintain a positive, team-oriented environment and uphold hourly rounding for patient experience

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU, oncology, or med/surg experience
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Active Nebraska RN license or compact license accepted
Must pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% required)
Willing to adhere to facility policies including no artificial nails in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EPIC EMR
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred
Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000) a plus but can train
Strong communication and teamwork skills
