Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varied 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care to a diverse patient population including PCU, Med Surg, and Oncology patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as ordered
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Float to other PCU and Med Surg units as needed

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent experience in PCU, Med Surg, or Oncology
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
Must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with 90% or higher
No full-time, part-time, or PRN status with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility within 50 miles
Valid driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Ability to handle chemotherapy administration safely
Charge nurse experience preferred (minimum 1 year)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
