Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend, every other holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, including cardiac caths, EP studies, and medical patients with cardiac history
Monitor telemetry and interpret strips to ensure patient safety
Titrate critical drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitro with confidence
Work as part of a supportive team with manageable nurse-to-patient ratios (1:4-5 days, 1:5-6 nights)
Collaborate with charge nurse and techs, and float to PCU or medical-surgical units as needed

Qualifications

Current RN license in North Dakota or compact state (NLC)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of PCU or telemetry experience
Experience with cardiac drips and strip reading
Epic experience preferred but not required
First-time travelers welcome!

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Cardiac drip titration (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, etc.)
PCU level care and patient assessment
Critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
Epic electronic health record proficiency
