Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, age-appropriate post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients
Assess and monitor patients continuously, recognizing and acting on changes in condition
Administer medications and manage IVs according to orders and protocol
Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams for smooth patient recovery
Educate and support families during the immediate postoperative period
Document care accurately and clearly to ensure continuity and safety

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the applicable state
Experience or interest in Pediatric nursing and Post-Anesthesia Care (PACU)
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) highly preferred
Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with excellent clinical judgment
Strong communication skills and a family-centered care approach

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Monitoring and interpreting pediatric vital signs and recovery parameters
Pain assessment and management in children
Airway management basics and familiarity with post-anesthesia complications
IV medication administration and titration under protocol
Clear, compassionate communication with children and families
