Shift Type: RN - PACU (Peds), 5-hour shift (specific start/end times and days not provided)

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients in the PACU
Closely monitor vital signs, airway status, and recovery progress
Administer medications and treatments as ordered and evaluate responses
Communicate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesia, and families
Document patient care, handoffs, and recovery milestones accurately
Participate in orientation, unit-based training, and quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential — practical requirement for the role
Experience or familiarity with PACU nursing, pediatric focus preferred
Comfortable with post-anesthesia assessment, monitoring, and interventions
Willingness to complete facility orientation and unit onboarding

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) or equivalent nursing diploma

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment skills for post-operative pediatric patients
Familiarity with post-anesthesia care protocols and recovery milestones
Effective communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
Accurate clinical documentation and safe medication administration
Teamwork mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced PACU environment
