Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety throughout surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and manage surgical instrumentation to support efficient, safe operations
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team members to coordinate patient care
• Recognize and respond to emergencies using ACLS and PALS protocols when needed
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the Meditech EMR
• Support trauma and vascular cases when assigned, applying specialized OR skills and adaptability

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (as listed in job details)
• Operating Room experience and familiarity with perioperative workflows
• Meditech EMR experience - listed as a required skill
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications (listed as must-have)
• Trauma and vascular experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of perioperative nursing and sterile processing
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record system
• Strong ACLS and PALS emergency response skills
• Experience supporting trauma and vascular surgical procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity OR settings
• Accurate clinical documentation and time management under pressure
