Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in patient condition accurately and promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate observations to nursing staff
• Support infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Create a warm, respectful environment that preserves dignity and comfort for every resident

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Reliable, compassionate caregiver with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
• Ability to follow facility policies, maintain documentation, and communicate effectively

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Active CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs and resident hygiene
• Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team
• Knowledge of basic infection control and patient safety practices
• Ability to document care accurately and escalate changes in condition
