Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patients, assess changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Document care clearly and comprehensively in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent care
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and wellness
• Participate in unit processes and quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license (Registered Nurse preferred) — appropriate New Mexico licensure or compact license as applicable
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; other certifications (ACLS, PALS) encouraged where relevant
• Clinical experience in acute care or relevant setting preferred
• Comfort and competence working overnight shifts and independently when needed
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• ADN or BSN for Registered Nurses; LPN diploma or equivalent for Licensed Practical Nurses

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize and respond effectively in urgent situations
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family interactions and team collaboration
