Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform direct patient care tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Take and record vital signs and observe changes in condition, reporting promptly
• Support safe mobility and assist with transfers according to care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team
• Adhere to infection control practices and facility safety protocols
• Build trusting relationships with residents and contribute to a positive environment

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-certified or eligible)
• Proven ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers; physical stamina for 12+ hour shifts
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care procedures
• Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety best practices
• Good documentation and communication skills for handoffs and charting
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during shifts
