Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative care across pre-op, OR, and PACU
• Perform circulating duties in the operating room ensuring patient safety and sterile technique
• Provide direct post-anesthesia care for pediatric and adult patients, including on-call PACU coverage
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and the surgical team to facilitate efficient, high-quality care
• Respond to emergent situations with calm, competent clinical interventions
• Document patient care and communicate clearly with families and multidisciplinary staff

Qualifications

• Active Montana RN license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
• Experience in perioperative nursing, OR circulating, and PACU preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
• Skilled in circulating duties and intraoperative patient advocacy
• Comfortable managing post-anesthesia care for both pediatric and adult patients
• Proficient in patient assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and thorough clinical documentation
