Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients with compassion and clinical precision during overnight hours
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy according to protocol
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, patient-centered care
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred when applicable
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and independently during per diem assignments
• Clinical experience in acute care, emergency, or relevant specialty preferred
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Triage, emergency response, and patient stabilization experience
