Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
• Assess, monitor and document patient status, vitals and telemetry
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to policy
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical emergencies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and discharge instructions
• Support a positive, team-focused environment and help onboard per-diem peers when needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience in acute care, med-surg or telemetry settings is a strong plus
• Comfort with night-shift responsibilities and independent clinical decision-making
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred but all qualified RN applicants will be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation (if applicable)
• Safe medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Clear communication and teamwork with clinical staff and leadership
• Accurate electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Time management, prioritization and the ability to work autonomously on night shift
