Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care during overnight MST shifts
• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered plans
• Document care accurately and communicate handoffs clearly at shift change
• Administer medications and treatments safely and per protocol
• Support patients and families with clear education and emotional support
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives on your unit

Qualifications

• Current California RN license required (compact privileges if applicable)
• Active BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certification encouraged
• Experience in acute care or relevant clinical settings preferred
• Comfort working overnight shifts and managing acuity independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Current immunizations and any facility-mandated screenings as required

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy night shifts
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Compassionate patient education and family communication skills
