Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for med/surg and pediatric patients
• Perform focused assessments and monitor patient status, escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately in the chart
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Support a positive, safe environment for patients and families at the facility

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ready to practice with confidence
• Experience or clinical comfort in Medical-Surgical nursing and Pediatrics
• Willingness to complete facility orientation (orientation is required)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with patients, families, and staff
• Ability to meet facility screening and credentialing requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and age-appropriate care techniques
• Medical-surgical nursing fundamentals and post-op care
• Medication administration and IV therapy basics
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting in electronic medical records
• Patient and family education and compassionate bedside manner
• Prioritization and time management during busy clinical shifts
