Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for Med/Surg and pediatric patients
Assess patient conditions and implement individualized care plans with clinical judgment
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and communicate changes
Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Participate in orientation and unit-based training to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

Current, active RN license in Missouri (or eligibility for licensure) required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; PALS or pediatric certification preferred
Clinical experience or strong interest in Med/Surg and pediatric nursing
Able to pass required background checks and health screenings
Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team and delivering family-centered care

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Solid assessment and clinical judgment skills in Med/Surg and pediatric populations
Familiarity with medication administration, IV therapy, and electronic charting
Strong communication skills with patients, families, and care teams
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in fast-paced situations
Compassionate bedside manner and commitment to patient safety
