Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients on the Med/Surg pediatric unit and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families
Document care and clinical findings clearly and timely in the medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
Participate in orientation and unit-based learning to maintain high standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential in the state where you will practice (or ability to obtain)
Clinical experience or strong interest in Med/Surg and pediatric patient care
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
Comfort working in a fast-paced hospital environment with strong teamwork skills
Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and monitoring of Med/Surg and pediatric patients
Medication administration and IV therapy competence
Clear, empathetic patient and family communication
Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
Teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize in dynamic situations
Patient education and discharge planning fundamentals
