Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Med/Surg and pediatric nursing care with compassion and clinical skill
Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and responses to treatment
Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policy
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
Participate fully in required orientation and unit training to ensure competency
Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic health record to support continuity of care

Qualifications

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; PALS and ACLS preferred
Experience or strong familiarity with Med/Surg and pediatric patient populations preferred
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg nursing knowledge and pediatric care fundamentals
Proficient in patient assessment, IV/medication administration, and clinical documentation
Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment with changing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and interdisciplinary collaboration
Familiarity with electronic health records and standard hospital workflows
