Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate Med/Surg nursing care for pediatric patients, treating each child like family
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, responding promptly to changes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
Educate families and caregivers on treatments, discharge plans, and ongoing care
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards of clinical practice
Support unit operations by assisting with admissions, discharges, and smooth patient flow

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or eligible for state licensing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Clinical experience in Med/Surg and/or pediatrics preferred
Current immunizations and ability to pass required background checks
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid pediatric assessment and Med/Surg clinical skills
Proficient in documentation and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills for family-centered care and teamwork
Comfortable following established clinical protocols and escalation pathways
