Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate med/surg and pediatric nursing care with attention to safety and patient dignity
Assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
Communicate clearly with patients, families and the interdisciplinary care team
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain best practices
Support discharge planning and patient education to promote continuity of care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Missouri) or eligible to obtain prior to start
Experience in medical-surgical nursing and pediatric care (clinical experience preferred)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; pediatric certifications such as PALS preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively, follow facility policies and maintain accurate documentation

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of med/surg nursing principles and pediatric care needs
Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
Comfortable with patient assessment, care planning and clinical documentation
Effective communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary setting
Basic familiarity with electronic medical records and common clinical workflows
