Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg pediatric patients
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate excellent care
Document patient conditions and interventions clearly in the medical record
Participate in orientation and unit training to maintain high standards of care
Support family education and communication to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to practice in Missouri required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Experience or familiarity with Med/Surg nursing and pediatric patient care
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a team
Ability to complete facility orientation and required onboarding

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid assessment and care-planning skills for Med/Surg and pediatric patients
Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
Accurate clinical documentation and charting
Infection control and safety best practices
Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Time management and prioritization in a busy unit
