Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality Med/Surg nursing care with compassion and clinical excellence
Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor status, and escalate changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Maintain a safe, tidy patient environment and adhere to infection control practices
Contribute to unit-based quality improvement initiatives and positive patient outcomes

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential — ready to practice in Louisiana
Med/Surg clinical experience (12-hour shift experience preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — obtain or maintain as required
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
Patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
Ability to work 12-hour shift patterns reliably
Solid documentation skills and attention to detail
Collaborative teamwork and clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
