Bill Rate: $25,000 sign-on; $10,000 relocation; $25,000 annual geographic differential

Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver safe, therapeutic nursing care for long-term care residents using the nursing process
- Perform thorough assessments, document findings in the EHR, and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications accurately and monitor resident responses and potential complications
- Lead the unit as assigned: delegate tasks, supervise CNAs/LPNs, and provide on-shift clinical leadership
- Respond calmly and effectively in emergencies, initiate appropriate interventions, and escalate when needed
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary communication to promote optimal outcomes
- Maintain state mandatory reporting, complete required competencies, and support unit quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Current, full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state (direct hires must have applied for Alaska license before start date; agency staff must hold active Alaska license)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Clinical Competency Assessment and High Risk Competency (completed within specified timeframes after hire)
- Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, ideally in long-term care
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties of the role
- Strong communication, delegation, and leadership skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing: BSN, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma
Knowledge & Skills
- Nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Long-term care patient management and documentation
- Medication administration and pharmaceutical knowledge
- Infection control and emergency response (including AED familiarity)
- EHR documentation and clinical judgment
- Patient and family education, counseling, and psychosocial support
