Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
• Assess, monitor and document patient conditions and responses to interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies and titratable drips safely and accurately
• Operate and manage ventilators and advanced monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge planning
• Maintain strict infection control practices and uphold unit safety standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — California license required or must be eligible
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required or willing to obtain
• Previous ICU experience preferred (strong candidates typically have prior critical care exposure)
• Proven ability to handle high-acuity patients and work in fast-paced settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and professional attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

• Critical care assessment and prioritization
• Cardiac monitoring and ECG interpretation
• Ventilator management and airway support
• IV medication administration and titration
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Infection prevention and sterile technique
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and handoffs
