Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Continuously assess and monitor patient status, interpreting data and responding swiftly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Operate and manage advanced cardiac and respiratory support equipment
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation in the patient record
• Act decisively in emergency situations to stabilize and protect patients

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Louisiana license preferred (compact status may apply)
• Clinical experience or background in ICU/critical care (demonstrated comfort with high-acuity patients)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical judgment, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to partner with patients, families, and staff

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Ventilator management and weaning principles
• Hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive medication management
• Medication administration and IV infusion expertise
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
• Strong prioritization, clinical decision-making, and crisis management skills
