Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU patients and their families
• Serve as the first resource to float to acute floors when additional support is needed
• Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor status, and escalate changes in condition
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in unit-based quality improvement efforts
• Adhere to required health screenings, immunizations, and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications (as listed)
• Experience in ICU or critical care nursing; able and willing to float to acute care floors
• Willingness to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and required skills checklists
• Ability to pass required health screenings, fit test and background verifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care knowledge and ICU best practices
• Comfort floating to acute care units and adapting to changing clinical settings
• Familiarity with specialty competency testing and skills checklists (Trinity)
• Excellent assessment, communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to infection control, safety protocols and required health documentation
