Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting to the Emergency Department
Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and initiate appropriate interventions
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and support staff to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) - active license for practice (per facility/state requirements)
Experience or comfort working in an Emergency Department (ED/ER) environment
Current Basic Life Support (BLS); additional certifications (e.g., ACLS) as applicable
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing fundamentals including triage and rapid assessment
Patient stabilization and trauma-informed care
Medication administration and IV therapy
Clear, concise clinical documentation and teamwork in fast-paced settings
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a high-acuity environment
