Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in the Cardiac Cath Lab during interventional and EP procedures to ensure patient safety and workflow efficiency
• Assess and monitor patients pre-, intra- and post-procedure using Phillips monitoring systems and telemetry
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and the multidisciplinary team during TAVR, MitraClip, IABP and other interventional cases
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in Cerner and Xper to support continuity of care
• Act as charge resource as needed and coordinate staffing with rad techs and support services
• Respond to on-call activations within the required 30-minute window and provide competent bedside care
• Support patient throughput for a high-volume unit (10-25 cases/day) while upholding quality and safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in cardiac cath, interventional cardiology, or high-acuity settings (Level I trauma experience preferred)
• Demonstrated experience as a circulating nurse in Cath Lab/EP or similar acute care procedural environment
• Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and a 30-minute response expectation
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holiday coverage as part of the schedule

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
• BSN preferred but not explicitly required
• Required: Active RN license in Arizona

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled with Cerner charting and Xper procedural support
• Familiarity with Phillips monitoring systems and Siemens equipment
• Strong knowledge of interventional cardiology and EP lab procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, peripherals, IABP)
• Telemetry interpretation and advanced cardiac monitoring
• Excellent communication, teamwork and critical thinking under pressure
• Ability to coordinate care with radiology techs, RTs, pharmacy and surgery teams
