Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients during your shift
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans
• Respond to patient and family needs with clear communication and empathy
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and handoffs
• Support unit initiatives that improve quality, safety, and patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state or compact RN licensure where required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS preferred depending on unit
• Previous clinical experience as an RN in acute care, med-surg, or similar settings preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently on night shift
• Comfortable with electronic health record systems and clear documentation practices

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical monitoring
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with common acute care procedures and protocols
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Basic troubleshooting of monitoring equipment and escalation processes
