Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams with attention to positioning and image quality
• Ensure patient safety and radiation safety practices are followed at all times
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff when imaging in the operating room
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication during procedures
• Maintain equipment checks, infection control protocols, and supply readiness
• Participate in orientation and onboarding activities to integrate quickly with the team
• Keep certifications current and complete required training such as verbal de-escalation

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years current X-ray experience (REQUIRED)
• ARRT (R) certification (required)
• Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• EPIC EMR experience (REQUIRED)
• Verbal de-escalation training completed via Welle or CPI (required for onboarding)
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
• Ability to pass a 14-panel drug screen (negative results required within 24 hours of offer)
• Operating room experience (strongly preferred)
• Previous or current travel experience (strongly preferred)
• Permanent address must be included in profile and must match driver license/state ID

Education

• Required certifications: ARRT (R), New York State Radiologic Technologist License, BLS (AHA)
• Formal radiologic technologist training typically expected (specific degree not stated)

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiography and X-ray techniques
• Patient positioning and care for high-quality imaging
• Radiation safety and regulatory best practices
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Ability to function effectively in operating room imaging scenarios
• Verbal de-escalation and safe patient communication
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and sterile environments
