Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with care, accuracy, and attention to patient comfort
Position patients and operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Review images for technical quality and document procedures thoroughly in the medical record
Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and clinical teams to support timely patient care
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and report issues promptly to ensure continuity of service

Qualifications

ARRT certification in Radiography (or equivalent) preferred
Licensed or eligible for state licensure in Louisiana
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
Strong patient care skills with excellent communication and teamwork
Ability to safely lift/position patients and operate imaging equipment

Education

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with X-ray and diagnostic imaging equipment and procedures
Solid knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and exposure techniques
Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
Understanding of radiation safety principles (ALARA) and infection control
Detail-oriented approach to image quality and documentation
