Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence
• Document assessments, progress, and discharge plans clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and ongoing recovery strategies
• Participate in orientation and onboarding activities to integrate with the unit quickly

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Washington (or ability to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain during onboarding
• Comfortable working the SPT shift type and delivering efficient, high-quality care during shorter shifts
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset
• Ability to complete orientation and required facility onboarding

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or Master’s/Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy as acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, gait training, and balance interventions
• Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of safety standards, discharge planning, and patient education strategies
• Team-oriented approach and adaptability to unit-specific workflows
