Location: Sacramento, CA

Start Date: 04-17-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Part-time, 5-hour shift (schedule to be determined). Includes required orientation.

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients' mobility, strength, and functional needs to develop individualized treatment plans
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility and reduce pain
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and progress
Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety strategies, and home programs
Participate in orientation and training to stay current with facility protocols and best practices

Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist in California (or eligible to obtain license)
Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT or equivalent)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
Strong communication and teamwork skills with patient-centered focus
Ability to complete required orientation and onboarding

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s in related field considered

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient assessment and development of individualized care plans
Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and assistive devices
Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic health records
Ability to educate patients and caregivers clearly and compassionately
Time management skills for efficient, high-quality care during short shifts
