Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on treatment and therapeutic exercise to improve patient function and independence
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in the facility’s EMR system
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehab team members to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and long-term recovery strategies
• Participate in discharge planning and communicate clear goals to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy license for New Jersey (must be active prior to start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other certifications welcomed
• Experience in post-acute or inpatient rehab settings preferred; comfortable working with a diverse caseload
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and ability to work collaboratively
• Able to start the 13-week assignment beginning 2026-04-27 and commit through 2026-07-25
• Flexibility and a positive, patient-centered attitude — we’re filling an urgent need and your adaptability is gold

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy (MPT) or equivalent degree in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance and functional mobility training
• Proficient with manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities
• Excellent patient assessment and goal-setting abilities
• Strong documentation and EMR proficiency
• Good communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to prioritize caseload and manage time effectively in a fast-paced rehab environment
