Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on therapeutic treatments under the direction of licensed Physical Therapists
• Assist with patient assessments, implement treatment plans, and document progress
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-focused care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in skills competency checks
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice (as required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — listed as required
• DCI/BVP certification (as listed in the job details)
• Completion of facility-required competencies and specialty exams (Prime Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, Specialty Exam)
• Ability to pass healthcare pre-employment requirements (drug screen, TB testing, immunizations, fit test)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient handling and mobility assistance techniques
• Proficient documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) familiarity
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation principles
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Teamwork mindset and ability to follow PT-directed care plans
• Detail-oriented approach to safety, infection control, and clinical protocols
