Roles & Responsibilities

Assist clinical staff with direct patient care activities to ensure comfort and safety
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the care team
Prepare patients and procedure areas for surgical or clinical care, following protocols
Support patient transport and positioning with a focus on dignity and safety
Maintain clean, organized treatment and patient areas, adhering to infection control standards
Communicate clearly with nurses, providers, and families to coordinate care and updates

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or PCT certification preferred
BLS/CPR certification required or willing to obtain
Prior experience in a clinical setting is a plus (patient care, vitals, specimen handling)
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Ability to follow protocols, handle basic clinical documentation, and maintain patient confidentiality

Education

High school diploma or GED required; CNA/PCT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care skills: vital signs, patient positioning, specimen collection basics
Familiarity with sterile technique and infection control practices
Comfortable working in fast-paced surgical or ambulatory care environments
Patient-centered mindset with strong interpersonal skills
Basic EMR/charting abilities or willingness to learn clinical documentation systems
