Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans that help patients regain independence
• Deliver hands-on therapy including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, splinting, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Conduct home environment assessments and design practical home programs patients and families can follow
• Document assessments and progress promptly and accurately to support quality patient care
• Consult with schools, nursing homes, and community agencies on environmental design and patient positioning
• Provide patient and family education on energy conservation, joint protection, safe transfers, and adaptive techniques
• Participate in quality improvement activities to keep care practices current and effective

Qualifications

• Current WA Occupational Therapist license required or actively in process of obtaining
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
• One year of clinical experience preferred, but new grads are welcome — enthusiastic learners encouraged to apply
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies
• Reliable communication skills and professional presentation when representing the organization

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient evaluations, treatment planning, and documentation
• Proficient with ADL training, therapeutic exercise, splinting, and adaptive equipment
• Experience conducting home assessments and making environment-based recommendations
• Knowledge of neurological rehabilitation techniques including sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation
• Comfort delivering prevocational programs and prosthetic device training when needed
• Ability to engage patients and families in education and carryover plans
• Participation in quality improvement (QI) initiatives
