Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate med-surg nursing care to patients on a 32-bed unit
• Perform and document patient assessments and follow-up using Meditech EMR
• Administer and manage PCA and on-Q pumps as appropriate
• Assist with post-operative care for neurosurgery and bariatric patients
• Manage tube and catheter care including NGT and Foley maintenance
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Maintain patient safety using equipment such as Hoyer lifts, traction devices, and wound vacs

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience, preferably med-surg (stated requirement)
• Flexibility with schedule and ability to work rotating weekends
• Experience with Meditech charting preferred
• Comfortable with nursing procedures such as NGT management, IV placement, and Foley care
• Strong time management skills and a team-player attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program (LPN/LVN license required)

• Med-Surg nursing and acute care practices
• Meditech EMR charting and documentation
• NG tube (NGT) management and IV placement
• Foley catheter management and wound vac care
• PCA and on-Q pump familiarity
• Safe patient handling (Hoyer lift) and traction devices
• Care for neurosurgery and bariatric surgery patients
