Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift (exact start/end times and days to be confirmed with the facility)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents/patients following care plans
Administer medications accurately and document per facility policy
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to clinical leadership
Support resident mobility, activities of daily living, and safety measures
Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
Maintain clear, timely charting to ensure continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

Current LPN license (practical nurse) — Pennsylvania license preferred/required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus
Strong communication skills and a resident-centered approach
Ability to pass required facility background checks and health screenings

Education

Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program
High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

Solid medication administration and documentation practices
Familiarity with common nursing assessments and care planning
Basic wound care and infection control procedures
Comfortable using electronic medical records or willing to learn
Teamwork, time management, and a calm presence in busy situations
