Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 05-11-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8.5-hour shift (schedule to be confirmed; specific start/end times and days will be provided by the facility)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and ensure patient comfort
Administer medications and treatments according to orders and protocols
Monitor, record, and communicate changes in patient condition
Perform routine assessments and report findings to the care team
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
Support residents/patients with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence

Qualifications

Active LPN license in Pennsylvania (or compact/state equivalent) required
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility clearance requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach

Education

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
LPN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Solid fundamentals in medication administration and wound care
Skilled with vital signs, basic assessments, and ADL assistance
Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time well, and work collaboratively
Compassionate bedside manner and strong patient advocacy
